As the warmer months approach, families in Coastal Delaware can start planning exciting activities for the kids.
Whether your child is interested in surfing, sailing, technology, ponies, or a more traditional summer camp experience, there are plenty of exciting programs in the area to keep them active, engaged, and having fun all season long.
For Part 3 of our series, we’ve rounded up even more 2026 summer camps across Coastal Delaware to help families find the perfect fit.
RB Surf Boarding School Summer Camp
For older kids who want a beach camp that is active, exciting, and full of coastal adventure, RB Surf Boarding School Summer Camp offers a fun summer experience centered on surfing, water safety, and outdoor exploration.
Designed for ages 11 to 16, this camp is a great fit for kids who want to spend their summer in the waves, build confidence, and learn new skills in a supervised beach setting.
Camp runs from 9am to 3pm, and families can choose between a three-day camp or several five-day camp sessions.
Pick-up and drop-off take place at Fifer’s Market, and one of the big advantages of this program is that all equipment and transportation are provided, which makes things a lot easier for parents.
Campers just need to bring a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.
The 2026 camp schedule includes:
- 3-Day Camp: June 23–25
- 5-Day Camp: July 6–10
- 5-Day Camp: July 20–24
- 5-Day Camp: August 10–14
While surfing is the main focus, the camp offers a lot more than just time on a board.
Kids also learn about water safety, the local coastline, teamwork, and nature, and camp activities may include SUP, yoga, beach cleanups, local history, and trips to Assateague National Park and Delaware State Parks.
That makes the experience feel a lot broader than a typical surf lesson. It’s really about helping kids connect with the beach environment while having fun and gaining confidence in the water.
Lewes Yacht Club Sailing School
For kids who want a classic Coastal Delaware summer experience, the Lewes Yacht Club Sailing School is such a strong option.
Set on the water and built around hands-on learning, this program gives kids the chance to build real sailing skills while also learning teamwork, confidence, and water safety in a fun environment.
It works well for a wide range of ages and experience levels, from total beginners all the way to more advanced young sailors who are ready for a more intensive program.
The season runs from Session One beginning Monday, June 8th, through Session Ten beginning Monday, August 10th, giving families a lot of flexibility across the summer.
For the youngest campers, the Cape Critters Program is designed for children ages 5 to 7 with no sailing experience.
This is a half-day program from 9am to 12pm, offered in shorter blocks that run Monday through Wednesday or Thursday and Friday.
The focus here is very beginner-friendly, with campers learning the basics of water safety, introductory sailing on Hobie Waves, and the bayside environment in a way that feels playful and approachable.
Fun and teamwork are a big part of the program, and kids get to rotate through onboard roles like Lookout, Sail Trim, and Steering, which helps them feel involved and confident on the water right away.
For older kids, the sailing school offers several session formats for sailors ages 8 to 18.
There is a Half-Day Morning Session that runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 12pm, a Half-Day Afternoon Session from 1pm to 4pm, and an All-Day Session from 9am to 4pm, with a lunch and pool break.
The morning session is open to all sailors ages 8 to 18, and kids do not need prior experience to join.
The afternoon session is also open to ages 8 to 18, while the all-day option is open to ages 10 to 18, plus ages 8 to 10 who have already completed at least one full week of non-Critter morning sessions.
One of the great things about this program is that sailors are grouped based on their previous experience and instructor evaluations, so kids can learn at the right pace for their skill level.
Depending on where they are in their sailing journey, they may use Flying Scots, RS Zests, Lasers, Sunfish, or Hobie Waves.
As they progress, they work on everything from seamanship and sail trim to rigging, launching, landing, steering, and even capsizing and recovery.
Each day includes short pre- and post-sail talks, but most of the time is spent doing what kids really want to do, which is getting out on the water.
For more advanced sailors, there is also a Junior Racing and Advanced Sailing Program for kids age 8 and older who want a more challenging experience.
This track is intended for sailors who are already more skilled and requires a minimum of three weeks of Lewes Yacht Club Sailing School or equivalent experience.
In terms of structure, age range, and variety of options, this is a really strong sailing program for kids who want a true on-the-water summer experience.

For kids who love technology, screens, art, and interactive learning, the Computer Kids Club STEAM Camp offers a fun and engaging way to build useful skills during the summer.
Held in person at the Georgetown Public Library, 123 W. Pine Street in Georgetown, this camp is designed for grades K through 6 and brings together several different learning areas in one tech-focused experience.
Each session runs for 2.5 hours from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, making this a great option for families who want something later in the day rather than a full-day camp.
The cost is $75.99 per session, which can make it a more accessible option for parents looking to mix in shorter specialty programs throughout the summer.

What makes this camp especially appealing is that it blends technology with creativity in a way that feels very approachable for younger students.
Kids learn proper typing, beginner coding, Google programs, art, and math, and they also create an art project during each session for families to keep.
The camp uses themes that many kids already enjoy, including Minecraft, Roblox, and more, which helps keep the activities fun and familiar.
There’s also a broader educational piece built in, with short videos about the pioneers of personal computers and technology devices, giving students some context about the tools they use every day.
Overall, this camp is a really nice fit for kids who are curious about technology but also benefit from a mix of hands-on projects, creativity, and interactive learning.

Sonshine Equine Pony Camp
For younger kids who love animals and dream of spending time around ponies, Sonshine Equine Pony Camp sounds like such a sweet and memorable summer option.
The program is built around helping children develop confidence, practical skills, and a connection with the ponies in a setting that feels both fun and educational.
The camp offers four different three-day sessions during the summer, and each one runs Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 2pm.
That schedule makes it a nice option for families who want something shorter than a full week but still long enough for kids to really settle in and enjoy the experience.
The 2026 Pony Camp schedule includes:
- Pony Camp #1: July 7, 8, and 9
- Pony Camp #2: July 21, 22, and 23
- Pony Camp #3: August 4, 5, and 6
- Pony Camp #4: August 18, 19, and 20
The camp already stands out as a great option for kids who would love a smaller, pony-centered experience that combines learning with lots of animal interaction.
