Puppies and Pilates in Rehoboth Beach

Puppies and Pilates is for when you want a workout that feels good without feeling intense or rushed. 

The experience starts with a low-impact, full-body mat Pilates class led by a strong instructor, then shifts into relaxed puppy interaction designed to help you unwind. 

You get the movement, the soft studio setting, the gentle play, and the cute content moment, all with rest, hydration, and clean spaces built in so both you and the puppies are cared for.

Rehoboth Beach Bandstand Summer Concert Series

The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand has 3 nights of classic music lined up this weekend, starting with The US Army Field Band bringing America’s favorite hits on Friday.

Saturday's performance features Sugar Mountain, celebrating the genius of Neil Young at the beach.

Sunday ends on a soft rock note with the Yacht Lobsters, performing classic hits from the 70s and early 80s.

All concerts are free, outdoors, and right by the boardwalk, making it easy to stop by for live music after dinner or a day at the beach.

Dimitra Yoga Weekend Classes

Day Camp for Grown-Ups at Indian River Life Saving Station

Day Camp for Grown-Ups brings back the fun of summer camp with a full day of hands-on activities designed specifically for adults.

The experience starts with making a monkey’s fist keychain before heading into the shallow bay to pull a 30-foot seining net and discover some of the creatures living in the water.

Campers will also stop at the Big Chill Beach Club for lunch and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of the park’s operations.

The day wraps up in the best way, around a beach campfire with exciting shipwreck stories.

Disney Divas Drag Show at Milton Theatre

Disney favorites get a drag makeover at Milton Theatre during a night inspired by some of animation’s most recognizable characters and stories.

Hosted by Magnolia Applebottom, the Disney Divas Drag Show brings together high-energy performances, costumes, comedy, and plenty of Disney-inspired entertainment.

Special guests Kali Coutour and Amethyst Diamond will join the lineup for an evening combining classic fairy-tale magic with the energy and creativity of live drag.

It is a chance to see familiar Disney themes reimagined on stage through a completely different kind of performance.

West Side Creative Market returns with another open-air evening featuring more than 20 local artists and makers.

It is a fun stop if you want to browse local art and handmade items, grab something to eat, listen to live music, and enjoy the market’s community atmosphere.

The event is free to attend, family-friendly, and dog-friendly, with a rotating lineup of artists, makers, food vendors, and musicians bringing something different to each market.

The Saturday Summer Market at George H.P. Smith Park is a classic Lewes weekend stop and a great way to ease into the morning. 

Local vendors bring everything from fresh produce, eggs, meats, seafood, flowers, coffee, baked goods, juices, kombucha, honey, jams, pantry items, and handmade products.

You can browse favorites like Old World Breads Bakery, Gaia Coffee, Jackie Blues, The Juice Clubs, Lavender Fields, Reid Angus, Stag Run Farm, Winters Farm Florals, and more while picking up something fresh for the week, a treat for brunch, or a few local finds to take home.

Northeast Seafood Kitchen is hosting a special Summer Luncheon built around a three-course menu from Chef Ronnie paired with wines from Big Salt Wines of Oregon.

Guests can choose between Grilled Salt Shaker Oysters or Local Peach & Butter Lettuce to start, followed by a choice of Spiced Tuna or Roasted Lemon Chicken & Orecchiette for the main course.

Magician Ran’D Shine brings his interactive style of illusion, sleight of hand, and psychological deception to Freeman Arts Pavilion with Just Tricks.

Shine has performed for audiences around the country and internationally, with appearances on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Masters of Illusion, and BET, along with performances for military families at Navy bases in Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.

His shows combine magic with humor and plenty of audience interaction, keeping both children and adults involved throughout the performance.

The Buzz about Beekeeping at Delaware Botanic Gardens

Delaware Botanic Gardens is celebrating National Bee Day with a closer look at honey bees and the world of beekeeping.

Local beekeeper Patrick Carey of Carey Apiary will discuss honey bee anatomy, their role in the food web, the history of beekeeping, and some of the challenges currently facing bee populations and the industry.

An observation hive will give visitors a chance to watch bees at work, while Carey will also demonstrate some of the tools used by beekeepers and share ways people can help protect the species.

The approximately one-hour lecture will be followed by a Q&A, making it a great opportunity to learn directly from a Sussex County beekeeper and Master Beekeeper certified through the University of Florida.

Bethany Beach Farmers Market

The Bethany Beach Farmers Market is a classic local stop with a strong community feel behind it.

Vendors are invited based on what they grow or make themselves, so you can shop knowing the focus is on real local products. 

This year also marks the market’s 20th anniversary, with special activities planned to make the season feel even more meaningful.

Red Caboose Tour at Lewes Junction

Step inside a piece of local railroad history during a tour of the restored 1917 Pennsylvania Railroad “cabin car” at Lewes Junction.

The caboose, officially known as PRR 477123, once served as a home away from home for railroad crews and was part of the last revenue train to travel between Georgetown and Lewes before the rail track was decommissioned.

After being purchased by the Lewes Junction Railroad & Bridge Association, the car underwent a cosmetic restoration designed to bring it closer to its historic appearance before being moved to the restored track at Lewes Junction.

Visitors can explore its interior and get a closer look at a piece of railroad history connected directly to the final years of train service between Georgetown and Lewes.

Farmers’ Market at Nassau Valley Vineyards

Sundays at Nassau Valley Vineyards are a relaxed way to spend time outdoors with local vendors, live music, food, and locally made wine. 

You can shop for local produce, honey, jams, arts and crafts, and other vendor goods, then stay to hear music from artists like Jr. Wilson and Chatty, Matt Lafferty, Hot Sauce, Keith Mack, Ed Shockley, and more. 

Nassau Valley also has a full sangria bar made with its own wines, plus food from on-site vendors, and families are welcome to bring a chair or settle in at the vineyard for the afternoon.
