Annual Milton St. Patrick's Day Parade

The annual Milton St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of those hometown events that keeps expanding every year, tracing back to 2008 when Irish Eyes wanted a way to give back and connect more deeply with the town.

What began with only a dozen entries has grown into a major community tradition with more than 75 entries in recent years.

The parade has become closely tied to local fundraising and support, with beneficiaries that have included the Milton Fire Department, the Milton Chamber of Commerce, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Milton’s own Allen Jackson, recognized for a powerful tribute run of 343 miles in full fire gear while carrying an American flag to honor the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001, a dedication that carries extra meaning with the 25th anniversary of 9/11 being marked this year.

Between the hometown pride, the growing scale of the parade, and the mission behind it, this is the kind of event that feels festive while still reminding you what it means when a town shows up for the people and causes it cares about.
