Spring is in the air, and the Delaware Botanic Gardens (DBG) at Pepper Creek is ready to welcome visitors for another breathtaking season!
Opened yesterday, March 13, this beloved 37-acre garden in Dagsboro is a must-visit destination for nature lovers, garden enthusiasts, and families seeking a peaceful outdoor escape.
Discover the Beauty of the Gardens
This season, DBG promises a spectacular display of color and life. Over 200,000 spring bulbs are beginning to bloom across the Piet Oudolf Meadow Garden, Rhyne Garden, Learning Garden, and Folly Garden.
Guests can also explore the 12-acre woodlands, which now features the brand-new Eagle Watch Garden, a serene spot for birdwatching and nature appreciation.
The gardens continue to grow and evolve, with the highly anticipated Gallery Garden underway and the construction of the Annette Pennoni Meadow Pavilion—a 3,300-square-foot, all-season event space—actively in progress.
Special Events & Tours
Visitors can deepen their experience with guided tours at 10 a.m. each open day, providing expert insights into the gardens’ design and plant life.
Additionally, special spring bulb tours will be held at 2 p.m. on March 13 and March 28, offering a closer look at the stunning seasonal blooms.
Sheryl Swed, executive director of DBG, encourages guests to explore the full calendar of events. Whether you’re interested in horticulture, conservation, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, there’s something for everyone.
