Selbyville Business Park Proposal Targets Growing Demand in Sussex County

Southern Delaware may soon welcome a new industrial park near Selbyville, thanks to a collaboration between seasoned developer Travis Martin and Davis Strategic Development. 

The proposed Selbyville Business Park will feature eight warehouse units, each under 60,000 square feet, situated just two miles north of Selbyville along U.S. Route 113.

Martin, who successfully developed the Frankford Business Park, is now operating under his new venture Ocean Crest Properties, which will oversee construction, permitting, and engineering for the Selbyville project.

Designed for Accessibility and Efficiency

The park's strategic location between a major highway and a railroad line offers unique logistical benefits. 

Developers are exploring the inclusion of a rail spur on the property's north side, positioning the park as an ideal hub for heavy-load manufacturers and bulk shipping operations.

Building on Proven Demand for Flex Space

The fast leasing of Frankford Business Park underscores the persistent need for flex warehouse space across southern Delaware. 

The demand is being driven by the rapid population growth in Sussex County, which fuels an increase in residential construction and contractor services.

Martin and Davis Strategic Development have joined forces for three additional industrial projects beyond Selbyville, including sites in Dover and Seaford. 

Both of those developments have earned Strategic Grant Fund support, signaling strong state-level confidence in their potential economic impact.

A Developer with Deep Local Roots

Travis Martin’s background includes building Chesapeake Plumbing and Heating into a major local employer, earning national recognition from the Inc. 5000 list. 

Now, with five industrial parks under his belt, Martin is betting that Selbyville will be the next success story.
