Level X Kitchen & Sushi Opens in Rehoboth Beach
Level X Kitchen & Sushi officially opened on September 29th at 38163 Robinsons Drive, taking over the former Just in Thyme location along Rehoboth's Forgotten Mile.
The restaurant is owned by Kenny and Jennifer Qiu, who have plenty of experience in the restaurant business. The couple already operates five Sushi Q locations in the Baltimore area, along with other restaurants.
And there's actually a meaning behind the name! The "X" represents the Roman numeral for 10, marking the 10th restaurant Kenny and Jennifer have opened throughout their careers.
At their newest location, they're focusing on fresh sushi, Japanese-inspired dishes, and quality food at reasonable prices, with a welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors.
The menu offers plenty of variety, including hibachi, chicken katsu, teriyaki, noodles, nigiri, sashimi, and a wide selection of sushi rolls.
There are also specialty rolls with local-inspired names like the Rehoboth Beach, Blue Hen, Holy Crab, and Ocean City, plus lunch options featuring sushi and sashimi combinations and Pick 2 or Pick 3 rolls.

Ledo Pizza Opens on Rehoboth Avenue
Ledo Pizza, the Maryland-based chain known for its signature square pizzas, is now open at 47A Rehoboth Avenue, taking over the former Five Guys location that closed in late 2024.
The restaurant welcomed its first customers in late September before officially announcing its opening on October 5th.
Opened by Trifecta Hospitality Group of Ocean City, Maryland, the new restaurant is one of two Ledo Pizza locations in Delaware, with the other serving the Bethany Beach and Ocean View area.
If you've never tried Ledo Pizza, its signature pies are a little different from your traditional pizza. They're square, with a thin, flaky crust, Ledo's signature sauce, and smoked provolone cheese instead of the usual mozzarella.
And there's more than just pizza on the menu! Customers can also order wings, subs, pasta, and salads, with catering options available for family gatherings, parties, and other events.
The Rehoboth Beach location is open seven days a week, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
Whether you're grabbing lunch while exploring downtown or picking up dinner after a beach day, Ledo Pizza is another new option right along Rehoboth Avenue.

Image: The Frozen Farmer
The Frozen Farmer in Dewey Beach
The Frozen Farmer has officially opened its new location at 1601 Coastal Highway in Dewey Beach, bringing its homemade ice cream, sorbet, milkshakes, smoothies, donuts, and other farm inspired treats from Bridgeville to the coast.
The family owned creamery grew out of a third generation Delaware farm and became nationally known after appearing on ABC’s Shark Tank.
The business is led by Katey Evans and remains closely connected to its agricultural roots, using ingredients from its own farm and other local farms.
The idea behind The Frozen Farmer started with a common challenge for growers.
More than 20% of fruits and vegetables in America can be left off grocery store shelves because of their appearance, creating a loss for farms even when the produce is still perfectly good to eat.
The family began looking for a way to put that fruit to use, which led to ice cream and sorbet made with fresh farm ingredients.
The Dewey Beach shop serves familiar Frozen Farmer favorites along with special creations for the beach location.
It is open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The shop can be reached at (302) 212-2157.

Image: The Stoke
The Stoke in Dewey Beach
The Stoke is now open at 1601 Coastal Highway in Dewey Beach, bringing a little bit of its Ocean City, Maryland roots to Delaware!
The new location welcomed its first customers on October 3rd, just in time for Dewey Goes Pink, giving runners, walkers, and visitors a place to grab a coffee or refuel after the event.
If you're not familiar with The Stoke, it's a little bit of everything.
The business combines fitness, coffee, healthy food, and shopping in one place, whether you're looking to start your morning with a workout, grab breakfast, or just meet up with friends.
The café serves coffee, smoothies, toast, bowls, and other breakfast and lunch options.
There's also a retail shop with graphic tees, sweatshirts, hats, gifts, accessories, and Free People Movement apparel.
And for those who like to stay active, The Stoke is also bringing a variety of fitness options to Dewey, including yoga, Pilates, and strength training, with plans to offer different types of workouts under one roof.
Whether you're stopping by for your morning coffee, looking for something healthy to eat, or checking out the shop, The Stoke is another new spot to add to your list in Dewey Beach.
Coming Soon Businesses

Image: Thyme To Grub
Thyme to Grub Is Still Working Toward Opening in Dagsboro
Thyme to Grub is another new local business in the works, this time at 33225 Main Street in Dagsboro.
The family owned restaurant plans to serve homemade dishes, classic sandwiches, daily specials, and fresh homemade soups, with a focus on familiar and filling food made with care.
The opening has faced some delays as construction continues.
In its latest update, shared in July, the restaurant said its kitchen hood system needs to be redone in order to meet inspection requirements.
That issue created another unexpected delay, but the owners said they are continuing to move forward and are committed to completing the work correctly.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so this is another local business to keep an eye on as the project progresses.

Fenwick Island Brewing Coming in 2027
A new spot for craft beer, good food, and spending time with friends is on its way to the Fenwick Island and Selbyville area!
Fenwick Island Brewing is a new brewpub and restaurant expected to open in 2027, bringing locally brewed beer and chef-driven food to a location near Bayside Resort Golf Club and Freeman Arts Pavilion.
The new restaurant is being developed by Southern Delaware Brewing in partnership with the Carl M. Freeman Companies and will be the company's third brewpub in the area.
If the name sounds familiar, that's because Southern Delaware Brewing is also behind Thompson Island Brewing Company in Rehoboth Beach and Ocean View Brewing Company in Ocean View.
Like its sister locations, Fenwick Island Brewing will have its own personality while focusing on quality craft beer, freshly prepared food, and a welcoming atmosphere.
With Fenwick Island beaches, North Ocean City, and several popular local attractions nearby, the brewpub is being designed as a place to grab dinner after a beach day, meet friends for happy hour, or stop by for a drink before or after a show at Freeman Arts Pavilion.
Construction is already underway, with more updates on hiring, opening celebrations, and the restaurant's progress expected throughout 2027.
There's still some time before Fenwick Island Brewing welcomes its first customers, but it's another exciting addition to the area's growing dining scene that's worth keeping an eye on!
