Poseidon Festival 2025
The Poseidon Festival returns to Bethany Beach for its 10th anniversary, offering a packed Memorial Day weekend celebration.
The free, family-friendly event features live music, pirate and mermaid shows, a costume parade, beach activities, and marine science exhibits.
Highlights include a steel drum performance, kite fly, luau show, and hands-on learning from New Logic Marine Science Camp and MERR.
The festival wraps up with a U.S. Navy band concert and a Memorial Day service on Monday.
A Whale of a Tail-in Alcohol Inks
Learn how to work with alcohol ink on canvas in a fun and creative “Whale of a Tail” class.
Participants will start with a pre-drawn whale tail on a 9 by 12 canvas and use a curated color palette to explore techniques like blending, moving, and filling with alcohol ink.
The final result often reminds people of tie-dye or batik, but it’s all done with alcohol ink, making it a unique artistic experience.
The two-hour class includes all materials and step-by-step instruction by a professional art teacher, making it perfect for beginners and anyone curious to try something new!

Artisans Fair
This year’s South Coastal Delaware AARP Artisans Fair will feature fine art, glass, jewelry, metalwork, photography, pottery, textiles, and woodworking.
There will also be a Farmers Market with fresh produce, food products, garden supplies, and plants for purchase to take home during the hours of the event from 9am to 1pm.
Other attractions include a bake sale, artisan's auction, and a 50-50 cash raffle!
The event is sponsored by South Coastal DE AARP in efforts to support fundraising for college scholarships.

Spring Into Milton Fundraiser
After the cancellation of the annual Horseshoe Crab and Shorebird Festival, the Milton Garden Club decided to launch its own fundraising event, “Spring Into Milton.”
While smaller in scale, the event will feature plant and garden item sales, a raffle for a handcrafted plant stand, and baked goods from The Backyard.
Additional community involvement includes the Milton Lions Club running its train, a barbecue hosted by the fire department, children’s activities at the Quayside Stage, and participation from Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge!
