Soleil Studio: A Boutique Fitness Experience
Soleil Studio is set to open in The Vineyards outside Lewes, offering a unique blend of hot yoga, wellness, and retail.
Owner Claire Knudsen, originally from Baltimore, faced delays in opening a studio there, but found Lewes to be the perfect location to bring her vision to life.
- The 5,500-square-foot space has been completely remodeled, featuring:
- Retail space with workout apparel
- A smoothie bar with nutritious options
- Two yoga studios equipped with infrared heaters, reaching up to 105 degrees
- Shower and locker room facilities
- Classes include Sculpt, Sweat, Sculpt+, and Stretch, all incorporating heat elements.
- Soleil Studio plans to offer classes throughout the day and on weekends, with Knudsen leading many of them initially.

The Black Dog: A Coastal Lifestyle Brand Arrives
The Black Dog, a brand with deep nautical roots, is opening its first Delaware location on Rehoboth Avenue.
Founded in 1971 on Martha’s Vineyard, the company has grown into a lifestyle brand offering apparel, home decor, and accessories.
- The new store will be located in the former Pet Wants space near Dunkin’ Donuts.
- Known for its relaxed, island-inspired style, the brand has nearly three dozen locations along the East Coast.
- The opening date is expected in April, though an exact date has not been confirmed.

First State Brewing Expands to Rehoboth Beach
First State Brewing, originally established in Middletown in 2020, opened its second location in Rehoboth Beach on March 24th.
The new tap house and kitchen is taking over a 6,270-square-foot space at The Shops at Sea Coast Plaza off of Coastal Highway. The space had previously housed venues known as TGI Fridays and The Pond. The venue will accommodate up to 228 guests, and they are thrilled to get to know the local community more as they begin to open their doors daily.

- Wednesday-Thursday & Sunday: 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m.
- Friday-Saturday: 11:30 a.m.-midnight
