Happy Hour at Above the Dunes

The Starboard is Dewey’s most famous venue for fun, great times, and spectacular food. This Friday night, the entertainment on the main stage is featuring Go Go Gadget!

Dewey’s Spring 2025 Golden Jubilee

The festivities begin Friday at 6:30 PM with the GoldRush Parade at Lake Gerar in Rehoboth, where golden retrievers and their humans stroll through town in celebration of Mother's Day.

On Saturday, the fun moves to Dewey Beach, starting with a Beach Romp at 10 AM on the oceanfront at VanDyke Street. Later that evening at 7 PM, everyone gathers again for a cozy Memorial Bonfire complete with s’mores. The entire weekend event is a fundraising event for Morris Animal Foundation's Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. Rehoboth Art League

There are five new exhibitions across its galleries, showcasing a wide range of artistic styles and mediums.

Visitors can explore vibrant abstract landscapes by Martha Spak, powerful mixed-media portraits by Kim Klabe, ceramic works by Susan Gladstone using unique firing methods, and imaginative assemblages by Tim Barton. 

The Homestead building also features Howard Schroeder’s sketches from the long-running Studio Sketch Group.

Steel Magnolias at SSP's Riverfront Theater

We highly recommend making time to enjoy a new live play at the Second Street Players's Riverfront Theater in Milford!

The action is set in Truvy’s beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done. Helped by her eager new assistant, Annelle, the outspoken, wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice to the town’s rich curmudgeon, Ouiser; an eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee, who has a raging sweet tooth; and the local social leader, M’Lynn. Filled with many laughs and seeing special qualities in these characters across the stage to make this production truly touching, this is being labelled as a must see show!

Land and Seascapes in acrylics

Ever wanted to try painting with a palette knife? This beginner-friendly class is a fun way to learn. You’ll explore how to mix and move paint using swipes, swoops, and swishes, starting with a knife and then adding in some brushwork for extra detail.

By the end, you’ll have two gallery-wrapped canvases that complement each other perfectly.

All materials are provided, and no experience is needed!

Spring Fest: U-Pick Strawberries

Spring is on at the Fifer Orchards, every Saturday through September 19th, the farm is packed with family-friendly fun and festival-style extras.

Broadwalk on the Boardwalk

This beloved tradition sponsored by CAMP Rehoboth benefits the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and celebrates cancer survivors while commemorating loved ones lost.

Enjoy a fun-filled kick-off party in the CAMP Rehoboth courtyard before stepping off at 10 a.m. to walk north along the boardwalk. The walk culminates in the formation of a heart on the beach.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament is back and all ages and skill levels are welcome to play! 

Every character has been unlocked and is available to use, from Mario to Sora. They will also have several game stations set up for participants to enjoy while waiting for your turn at the controller.

Registration is needed, but they are looking forward to all gamer enthusiasts to make this a part of their weekend!

Haunted Histories Paranormal Investigations

MERR Annual Yard Sale

The yard sale is one of the major fundraisers for MERR, and will also feature a bake sale and refreshments throughout the day!

All funds raised during the event will go to the year-round efforts of the non-profit organization, which serves as the first response to all marine mammals and sea turtles stranded and in need of medical rehabilitation in Coastal Delaware.

Dewey Beach Arts and Fun Festival

Celebrate the 8th Annual Dewey Arts and Fun Festival and Dewey Beach Lion's Club Community Day.

In Her Own Words: A Concert Celebrating Women

The Southern Delaware Chorale will celebrate female composers and poets from throughout history. 

The concert will feature selections from composer Hildegard von Bingen (composer from the Middle Ages), Clara Schumann (composer from the Romantic period), and Rosephanye Powell. 

This is a great way to celebrate the mother figures in your life, just one day before Mother's Day!

Mother’s Day Marketplace

Millville prepared an outdoor event at Evans Park to offer shopping opportunities for those looking for a perfect Mother’s Day gift, or maybe a treat for themselves. Items for sale at the market run from everything from handmade jewelry to beer mugs & homemade creations.

In addition to the craft vendors, food trucks will be at the park during the event, and the Indian River High School Lacrosse Team will be on hand selling baked goods as a fundraiser for the team.

Annual Train Day Celebration

Lewes Junction Railroad & Bridge Association hosts its third National Train Day celebration with a full lineup of activities! The day begins indoors at the library with two educational talks:

10:15 a.m. – Dr. Ray Glick presents on the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad

11:30 a.m. – David McDonald discusses how the railroad shaped tourism

Ongoing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Shoreline Model Railroad Club will feature an interactive model train display in the children’s library, and the Delmarva Model Railroad Club will offer a digital slide presentation in the lobby.

At 12:15 p.m., the event moves outdoors for the christening of a newly added Pennsylvania Railroad coal tender, led by Lewes Mayor-elect Amy Marasco. 

Then at 12:30 p.m., Senator Russ Huxtable will swing the first mallet to drive the third golden spike into the Lewes Junction track, with guests invited to take a turn in honoring the original 1869 rail connection at Promontory, Utah.

Nassau Valley Vineyards Farmers’ Market

This is one of the most popular farmers markets in the area, blending fresh local goods with a lively vibe. They offer delicious food from over 20 on-site vendors, live music from regional favorites and a full sangria bar.

The event is family-friendly, and while dogs aren’t allowed inside the market or winery buildings, they’re welcome on-leash at the picnic tables and surrounding areas.
