After months of anticipation, construction updates, and growing curiosity from locals, Nossa Casa Brazilian Steakhouse is officially welcoming its first guests in Millsboro. 

The new restaurant sold out all reservations for its soft opening on Tuesday, January 13th, a clear sign that excitement has been building around this long awaited addition to Sussex County’s dining scene.

Located in the former Georgia House building at 109 Main Street, Nossa Casa intends to bring a traditional Brazilian rodizio experience to Coastal Delaware, combining fire grilled meats, classic Brazilian sides, and a strong sense of family hospitality in every guest’s experience.

From Family Dinners to a Full Service Steakhouse

Nossa Casa is the creation of sisters Thaina and Maria Luisa Bittencourt, who moved from Brazil to Sussex County and wanted to share a piece of home with their new community. 

The idea for the restaurant grew out of the family dinners they hosted every couple of weeks, where food, conversation, and togetherness were always at the center.

Those gatherings inspired the sisters to create a place that feels welcoming and familiar, not just a restaurant, but a space where people can slow down and enjoy a shared meal. 

The name Nossa Casa translates to “Our Home,” and that meaning carries through the concept, the menu, and the atmosphere.

What to Expect From the Rodizio Experience

Nossa Casa follows the traditional Brazilian rodizio model, where guests enjoy continuous tableside service instead of ordering individual plates. 

Servers known as gauchos circulate through the dining room, carving different cuts of meat directly at the table.

Guests can expect to spend about 90 minutes to two hours enjoying the full experience, with plenty of time to sample a wide variety of meats and sides at their own pace.

The one price, all included format is straightforward:

• $37.99 per adult
• $19.99 for children under 13
• Free for children under 5

This price includes unlimited access to the churrasqueira meats, the market table, and hot selections.

Inside the Churrasqueira

The heart of Nossa Casa is its churrasqueira, where premium cuts are seasoned and fire grilled before being brought straight to the table. 

Meats rotate throughout the meal, allowing guests to try different flavors without feeling rushed.

Selections include:

• Picanha, a classic Brazilian top sirloin
• Ribeye and filet
• Bottom sirloin and lamb
• Bone in pork loin
• Linguiça (Brazilian sausage)
• Garlic chicken
• Chicken breast wrapped in bacon
• Chicken hearts

Everything from the churrasqueira is included in the dining experience, and guests can enjoy as much or as little as they like.

• Brazilian staples like pão de queijo, farofa, and feijoada

• Rotating hot dishes like moqueca de peixe and St. Louis ribs

Drinks Inspired by Brazil

The beverage menu adds another layer to the experience, with cocktails and drinks inspired by Brazilian flavors and casual gatherings. 

Beverages are offered separately from the dining price.

• Amazon Mule with guaraná syrup
• Nossa Margarita featuring Brazilian cachaça
