The Lewes community came together for a fun-filled evening of bingo, all in support of a great cause.
The fifth annual Miriam’s Table bingo fundraiser took place on February 22 at St. Jude Apostle Parish Life Hall, raising over $14,000 to help provide meals for children in need.
A Night of Generosity
With around 190 enthusiastic participants filling the venue, the event was a huge success. Thanks to their support, 48 children in the Democratic Republic of Congo will receive a full year of nutritious meals through the local Coastal Delaware nonprofit known as Miriam’s Table.
Community Effort
The event was made possible by:
- Dedicated Volunteers – Helping with setup, food preparation, registration, and cleanup.
- Generous Local Businesses – Contributing to the fundraiser’s success with donations and support.
- Engaged Participants – Making a meaningful impact with their contributions.
Making a Difference
Susie Keefer, founder and board president of Miriam’s Table, expressed her gratitude:
“Each year, I am always humbled by the generosity of the people who come and support this event.”
Miriam’s Table continues its mission to fight childhood hunger, and this fundraiser plays a vital role in sustaining that effort.
