2026 Lewes Tulip Celebration

The Lewes Tulip Celebration is a beloved annual tradition that brings a burst of color and a nod to the town’s Dutch heritage, with more than 31,000 tulips and 5,000 spring bulbs planted throughout Lewes.

Spread across multiple weekends, the celebration invites visitors to explore over 20 locations using the Tiptoe To The Tulips Map, available at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce’s Visitor Center in the historic Fisher Martin House at Zwaanendael Park and at brochure boxes around the historic district.

In addition to strolling through vibrant displays, visitors can enjoy special events like the tulip sale at Bank Street Plaza and guided “History in Bloom” walking tours that combine Lewes’ maritime history with insights into the many tulip varieties planted throughout town.

Spring Fling 2026: Shop, Dine, Stay, & Play

Spring Fling is one of those events that gives you a reason to explore just about every corner of the Quiet Resorts while supporting local businesses.

Organized by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, this initiative brings together shops, restaurants, and local spots across Bethany Beach, Clarksville, Dagsboro, Fenwick Island, Frankford, Millville, Ocean View, Roxana, Selbyville, and South Bethany, all offering something a little different for visitors.

As you make your way through participating businesses, every stop automatically enters you into a Grand Prize raffle valued at $500, along with a variety of in-store raffles.

You might find yourself browsing at Bethany Beach Books during a special story time, grabbing a bite at Bethany Blues or Off the Hook, picking up something fun at Tidepool Toys & Games, or stopping by places like Surf Bagel or Sea Shell City for a quick local favorite.

Some businesses are adding their own perks, like gift baskets, vouchers, free treats with purchase, and even unique experiences like a VR escape room or wellness services.

It is a great excuse to revisit your go-to spots or discover somewhere new.

2026 Great Delaware Kite Festival

The Great Delaware Kite Festival at Cape Henlopen State Park is one of those classic Coastal Delaware traditions.

Now in its 58th year, this event blends long-standing favorites with interactive activities that keep people coming back year after year.

One of the biggest highlights is the Easter Egg Hunt, featuring 5,000 candy-filled eggs and a special appearance from the Easter Bunny, making it especially exciting for younger attendees.

From there, the focus shifts to the kite competitions, where children, teens, and adults all get their chance to show off their skills with both homemade and store-bought kites.

Beyond the competitions, the festival atmosphere is just as much a draw, with food trucks set up nearby, vendors and community organizations spread across the field, and even opportunities to pick up a new kite on-site and practice before joining in.

14th Annual Bunny Palooza 5K

Bunny Palooza is one of the cutest and most family-friendly races of the season, and it brings a festive Easter vibe right to Bethany Beach.

The event includes both a 5K run and a one-mile walk, so it is easy for everyone to join in, whether you are a serious runner, a casual walker, or someone just looking for a fun weekend activity by the ocean.

The 5K course takes participants through the charming streets of Bethany and ends with a finish on the boardwalk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, which honestly feels like the perfect reward after a run.

Meanwhile, the one-mile walk is designed to be extra relaxed and fun. It is also the option where dogs are welcome.

The event also includes a Kiddie Dash before the main race, and it is exactly what you would imagine: pure chaos in the best way.

It adds such a fun energy to the morning and makes the whole event feel like a community celebration rather than just a race.

Bunny Palooza is hosted by the Quiet Resorts Charitable Foundation, so it is also a feel-good event that supports a great cause.
