Rehoboth Beach Children's Summer Recreation Activities
The City of Rehoboth offers free weekday activities for kids, including beach games, races, and arts & crafts throughout August.
It’s a great way for children to stay active, creative, and social during your beach vacation.
Activities are held Monday through Friday mornings and supervised by trained recreation staff.
For free-play time, enjoy the city’s playgrounds located at Grove Park, Lake Gerar, and Silver Lake. In addition, the City of Rehoboth Beach provides two volleyball courts on the beach at Hickman Street.

52nd Annual Outdoor Fine Arts & Fine Craft Show
More than 100 artists and artisans from around the country will display and sell their fine art and fine crafts amidst the Rehoboth Art League's campus.
The annual Outdoor Show is a juried event yielding exceptional work, and many of the artists actively enjoy demonstrating their creativity during each day of the show.
Attendees can also participate in a special raffle to support the Rehoboth Art League’s education and exhibition programs. Artist Zu Sheng Yu has donated his original oil painting "Good Morning", a 36" x 36" framed piece valued at $4,800, now on display in the Corkran Gallery. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and can be purchased at the front desk through August 10th.
This is an event full of activities, including great food, live music, artist demonstrations, gallery exhibits, beautiful gardens, the historic Peter Marsh Homestead, and a Dogfish Head Beer Garden.

Fans can cheer on their favorite eateries while enjoying food, drinks, and free swag from beverage sponsors.
Each of the 18 teams will include 3 men and 3 women, with only one team allowed per location. Participants must be over 18 and show ID, those 21 and over will be wristbanded.

2025 Zap Pro/Am World Championship of Skimboarding
The Zap Pro/Am World Championship of Skimboarding is happening again this year in Dewey Beach.
Amateur and professional skimboarders will compete in scheduled heats for medals, prize bags, and cash awards.
Last year, Lucas Fink took the Pro Men’s title, while Chabe White was crowned Pro Women’s champion, showcasing top-tier talent and setting the bar high for this year’s competitors.
All participants will receive one complimentary event tee and lunch during days of competition.
The event includes beach music, a chill zone, and multiple community gatherings throughout the weekend, all during the beautiful beach competitions of skimboarding.

Big Chill Beach Club – Beach Cleanup
Hosted by the Big Chill Beach Club, this monthly cleanup event invites volunteers to help keep Delaware’s beaches pristine.
Afterward, enjoy refreshments and social time at one of the most scenic oceanfront spots in the area.
Trash bags, buckets, grabbers, and gloves will be provided. They will also be offering coupons for 15% off your check to use after the event.
It’s a feel-good way to give back to the beach community while making new friends.

Flounder Pounder Open
The Flounder Pounder Open presented by Paradise Grill & Short's Marine happens this August, with team and individual angler registration open through August 10th.
Weigh-ins take place daily at the Lagoon Stage, followed by Calcutta prize presentations.
A total of 51 prizes are awarded, including a $100,000 first-place prize and daily cash prizes totaling $125,000.
Paradise Grill has parking covered, plenty of vehicle spots, 100 golf cart spaces, and 82 boat slips. A free shuttle takes you to the entrance and back. Just note: motorcycles aren’t allowed in the Pot-Nets community.
Participants must follow the full tournament schedule, including mandatory registration and captain’s meetings.

Shuck Cancer 5K
Lace up your sneakers and head to Big Oyster Brewery for the Shuck Cancer 5K.
This run/walk benefits Fighting Pretty, a nonprofit that supports women battling cancer with empowering care packages.
The course time limits set at 1 hour for 5Ks, 1.5 hours for 5 Miles, 2 hours for 10Ks, 3 hours for 10 Miles, and 3.5 hours for 13.1 Miles.
